#Repost @likecureslike with @repostapp ・・・ RepostBy @islam.dawah: The beautiful face of a sincere man that dedicated his life in doing the jobs that the Pakistani Government has neglected since its inception. Here are some stories that demonstrate his gigantic heart, impeccable character and the sheer dignity by which he ran his charity. (1) Despite the fact that Abdul Sattar Edhi is the head of a million dollar foundation, he still leads a very simple life. He never accepts a single penny as a salary from Edhi foundation, he lives in a two bedroom apartment over his clinic, that however is of below average condition and only has two pairs of clothes , that he wears to all business trips, television appearances and during all of his other activities. (2) Edhi Foundation is not just confined to Pakistan. The organization stems out in the whole world and provides help wherever they can. Edhi Foundation has run relief operations in Africa, Middle East, Europe and even has aided United States of America during the New Orleans hurricane. (3) The Edhi Foundation has never accepted any money from political personalities, religious groups or governments, only accepting personal donations. (4) In October 2015, Edhi turned down an offer of Indian Rs 10 million from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the foundation ensured the return of Geeta, a speech-impaired Indian girl, who had crossed over the border accidentally several years ago. She was about seven or eight years old when she was found by the Pakistani Rangers, and was adopted by the Edhi family. The foundation looked after her for 13 years till she returned to India. (5) In June, Edhi was admitted to a government hospital in Karachi after trouble with his kidneys. That was when the former President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, offered to send him abroad for treatment. Edhi turned it down. His refusal cames at a time when Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is in London, recovering from open-heart surgery. This only enhanced Edhi’s image."
